Sony Ericsson W760 review

Sony Ericsson w760 pictureSony Ericsson W760 made a name for the first Sony Ericsson mobile phone to offer an integrated GPS receiver. With a large QVGA display, stereo speakers, Media Center and the 3-megapixel camera on top, the W760 packs a nice punch. It is an exciting slider that is not thrill-on the outside, but has every chance of becoming a bestseller.

Expected in Q2 2008 Sony Ericsson W760 May as well make this summer hotter. He has almost all high-end Walkman stuff. Right from the first moment we saw, we were struck by the similarity with Sony Ericsson W850. Both handsets fairly shares the same size, shape factor and the market positioning, so we think it’s a safe bet the W760 is the true successor of W850, the best of the Walkman series on the current Sony Ericsson lineup.

For starters, the W760 exploits the proprietary Sony Ericsson Media Center enabling users to organize and enjoy all their multimedia files, whether it is music, videos, photos, games or streaming content such as YouTube. The Sony Ericsson Media Center offers ease of use and functionality unmatched by current rich feature phones to the market.

The user experience with the Media Center will continue to be enhanced by the built-acceleration sensor that enables the automatic screen rotation, and Shake. Speaking of multimedia, W760 packs in the latest Walkman Player 3.0, and supports even the mood SensMe recognition function that allows playlists to mood and tempo.

On top of this you also get the benefits of the integrated GPS receiver - you can use it to your photos Geotag, working with the fitness tracker application or use turn-by-turn navigation and Points of Interest Search .

Sony Ericsson W760 will be available in three different versions color: Rocky, silver, Fancy Red, Black and Intense. We had the gray / silver for a review. A definite thumbs up for the 1GB memory card in the retail package, but we have seen Walkmans ship with 2-GB cards.
