Motorola and Kodak ring a bell? Well, a 5MP cobranded shooter is, of course, just around the corner. What’s even better, some pictures leaked shed more light on specs.
Motorola is the name Kodak ZN5 and is equipped with a 5-megapixel autofocus camera with xenon flash. It is also an LED flash that is likely to be used when shooting video. The camera itself in a position to shoot in RAW mode, unprecedented in cameraphones. There is even binned RAW (production of lower resolution images, but the maintenance color depth), which is a rarity even under the special camera equipment.
The published camera samples, however, are a different story - we are far from impressed by the prototype. However, because some beta-testing devices, we know better than you call a failure. We still have to see how the Motorola ZN5 retail version.
As is clear from the interface screenshots, Motorola ZN5 runs in the love-or-loathe Linux-based operating system. It comes with a QVGA screen and will only 11.8mm thick. A 3.5-mm standard audio jack is visible on one of the photos and then the USB slot. Motorola ZN5 morphing comes with a keyboard similar to the ROKR E8. The final treatment with a reasonable degree of certainty is the TV output.
